TNT Showfreight have recently been awarded a year long contract with BAE Systems to move three Full Scale Replica aircraft (FSR's) and ancillary equipment to airshows and displays around the world, beginning with the Royal Thai Air Force 90th Anniversary display in Bangkok.Aircraft types are the Gripen, Typhoon and Hawk all of which were also recently assembled in Singapore for Asian Aerospace by TNT Showfreight, difficult enough in normal circumstances and made no easier by extreme humidity and temperature over 100 degrees.
These high tech models once dismantled are normally transported in ocean containers, some of which are well outside regular specifications, making the challenge to move them by sea and road even more demanding, as usually there is a limited transit time period available.
TNT Showfreight will ship freight for BAE to all corners of the globe. Their biggest show however will undoubtedly be the showcase aerospace event of the year, the Farnborough Air Show, which runs from July 19-25.
