The Commonwealth Games challenge

23 July 2002 - 15:12 CET

Delivering and installing 200 Xerox copiers, printers and fax machines to 13 Commonwealth Games sites over three weeks was no problem for TNT Logistics.

The real challenge is taking them all out again in the four days after the games finish on Sunday August 4.

"Maybe we'll have to recruit a few of the faster athletes to give us a hand," says Steve Harding, TNT Logistics General Manager for the Xerox UK contract. "And the weightlifters would come in very handy for some of the heavier equipment."

TNT Logistics has worked with Xerox since 1995, managing its total warehousing and distribution requirements in the UK, using specialist crews to install and demonstrate the equipment to the customer.

Xerox are an official partner of the Manchester 2002 Commonwealth Games.
