TNT Network Logistics has won a three year, £3 million contract with Esselte UK, part of Esselte Corporation, one of Europe's largest manufacturers and distributors of office products and accessories.

TNT Network Logistics manages and operates the outbound distribution from Esselte's Northampton distribution centre to its customers throughout the UK.

"This ranges from full load deliveries into the major stationery wholesaler, to half a pallet to individual shops," explains David Bermingham, Managing Director, TNT Network Logistics. "The products enter our shared user network via our Wellingborough depot. We will handle more than 40,000 pallets a year for Esselte."

The company's products include Dymo Identification machines and labels, Pendaflex file systems, Esselte and Leitz filing and documentation management systems and their desktop accessory ranges (including letter trays, staplers and perforators).

"Through this contract, Esselte will be able to offer its customers an increased frequency of delivery, and our track and trace system offers complete visibility throughout the entire network," says Mr Bermingham.

TNT Network Logistics operates an integrated nationwide shared-user distribution network for a wide variety of clients, but it also has a particular focus on the print, packaging, stationery and book industries.

Nigel Gunn, Managing Director, Esselte UK, says TNT Network Logistics' expertise in the stationery and office products market was a significant factor in awarding them the contract.

"We were impressed with their knowledge of our industry and the requirements of our customers. Their network will offer our customers an extremely consistent and reliable service."
