07 December 2004 - 10:04 CET

TNT Logistics North America, a leading provider of supply chain logistics services, has been named International Trade Services Provider of the Year. TNT Logistics received the award from the Cornerstone Regional Development Partnership of the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce at its quarterly luncheon on December 1.

This is the sixth consecutive year that the Cornerstone Partnership has bestowed awards of this nature to companies located in North Florida who exhibit exceptional performance in the area of international trade. In addition to the trade services category, awards were also presented to companies in the categories of Small Business Exporter of the Year and International Trader of the Year. Cornerstone Partnership joined with the Jacksonville Economic Development Commission, JAXPORT and the Jacksonville Airport Authority to present these awards.

"We're extremely honored to be recognized for our efforts in international trade," said Jeff Hurley, chief operating officer, TNT Logistics North America. "As a global provider, our goal is to deliver full-service logistics services to shippers who have supply chain needs throughout the world. And yet, Jacksonville has quickly become a primary center for excellence for global business."

The predecessor company to TNT Logistics North America was CTI Logistix, which was launched out of Jacksonville Fla. as Customized Transportation, Inc. in 1982. CTI Logistix was sold to TNT Logistics in 2000.
