TNT Logistics Italy and Bridgestone Italia SpA develop their partnership

TNT Logistics Italy, Italian leader in integrated logistics and Bridgestone Italia SpA, leader in tyre sector, have relaunched and developed their partnership for logistics activities for the next three years.The agreement states an increase in the distribution area controlled by TNT Logistics Italy for Bridgestone and Firestone brands in Italian territory.
In addition to the previously covered regions, Liguria, Piemonte, Valle D'Aosta and Lombardia, Bridgestone has decided to entrust TNT Logistics with the logistics-distribution activities in Triveneto, Emilia Romagna, Marche, Abruzzo, Umbria, Molise, Calabria, Puglia, Basilicata and islands.
Therefore, sales revenue volume generated by this partnership with Bridgestone Italia SpA has increased by 180%, moving from previous € 2,5 millions to present € 7 millions per year.
This development testifies the quality and efficiency of services provided for by TNT Logistics.
TNT Logistics Italy will manage Bridgestone Italia SpA logistics-distribution activities: goods receiving from European and extra-European plants, allocation, picking and distribution.
Above mentioned activities will concentrate in TNT Logistics' new dedicated warehouse in Arena Po that having a greater area (from 12.000 to 17.000 sq. meters) will replace Bridgestone's warehouse in Tortona.
Altogether, TNT Logistics will handle 40.000 shipments per year totaling about 20 million kilos on behalf of Bridgestone Italia SpA.
