Sony Roadshows

23 June 2005 - 14:26 CET

Snow storms, strikes, awkward customs borders, venue access, driving bans and streets only just wide enough to ride a bike down were just some of the day to day issues that were encountered and managed during a period that saw us deliver successfully to over 50 Exhibitions and Events in a 6 month period.

With a double man crew of highly trained and experienced drivers and the backup of an office who have many years of specialist knowledge of local customs procedures and driving regulations, we were able to offer a cost effective solution to meet Sony’s requirements.

On several occasions we were able to call on the help of associated IELA members (International Exhibition Logistics Associates) and local TNT offices to provide us with local knowledge on for example weather and political conditions, ferry services and provide us with any specialist equipment to assist with loading and un-loading to some difficult venues.

The schedule was completed successfully and Sony’s exhibition manager wrote after the events: -

”The willingness, co-operation and dedication of everyone in the TNT Showfreight team have been a major factor in the success of these events, which had some interesting timing and access hurdles - all of which were overcome smoothly and without delay.”
