Sifcon expands business with TNT Network Logistics

Sifcon International Plc, a major importer and distributor of gift and housewares under the SIL brand, has renewed its contract with TNT Network Logistics.
The new deal includes a 30 percent increase in warehouse space, giving SIL a base of 122,000 square feet at TNT's Mendlesham site.
SIL products are sourced throughout the world, with a heavy bias on imports from Asia. The Port of Felixstowe is therefore the ideal gateway into the UK and Mendlesham, only 35 miles away, is perfectly situated to handle the large volumes of inbound containers.
After unstuffing from containers, products are palletised and stored, utilising the latest in narrow aisle racking and Bendi-trucks.
Orders are picked using TNT's customised computer controlled order picking software, and delivered throughout the UK using TNT Network Logistics integrated shared user network.
