Elected Vice Chairman of IELA

Managing Director, Phil Powell, has been elected as Vice Chairman of IELA, (International Exhibition Logistics Associates) the worldwide trade association dedicated to enhancing the professionalism of the transportation logistics and freight handling segments of the exhibition industry.Phil was elected Vice Chairman for a term of two years and will support new Chairman Ravinder Sethi,who was also elected during IELA's 20th Anniversary Congress in New Delhi. The congress, held under the motto "IELA - 20 Years of Excellence" attracted 120 participants representing 62 member companies from all parts of the world.
"Although I'm pleased to have been voted into the post in Delhi, I am not so sure about the headgear! Seriously, this is an important position which carries a heavy responsibility as IELA moves forward with a set of challenging goals. I am looking forward to meeting those challenges with my IELA Board colleagues and helping to take the association to the next level".
The next IELA Annual Congress will take place in Athens from June 18-22, 2006.
