CEVA wins new contract with Lavazza in Italy

CEVA to manage distribution of 18.5 million packs of coffee each year

Milan, Italy, 21 June 2010 - CEVA Logistics, a leading global supply chain management company, has signed an agreement with Lavazza, one of the most important coffee producers in the world.

CEVA will be responsible for the warehousing activities and handling of Lavazza's coffee packs in the company's Turin production plant, one of the most important in the world, moving approximately 18.5 million packs a year. A critical factor in the selection of CEVA as Lavazza's new partner was its ability to achieve a high level of integration with their existing operational structure and also develop innovative solutions for the entire supply chain.

Stefano Cabella, Logistics Director of Lavazza Group, said: "We have asked our new partner to meet some key requirements to guarantee high levels of security and support us in our operations. CEVA has met all these requirements and together we have created a strong partnership which will enable us to improve and optimize our way of working."
