15 September 2010 - 19:11 CET

Hoofddorp, The Netherlands, 15 September 2010 - CEVA Logistics, a leading global supply chain management company, has today announced the launch of its new global MATRIX WMS (Warehouse Management System) which will be the standard service offering for all CEVA's customers looking for WMS support in warehouses and distribution centers and is part of CEVA's bespoke MATRIX suite of IT solutions.
Utilising RedPrairie's WMS application, the new MATRIX WMS offering will become CEVA's global offering, providing a standard system landscape and one common infrastructure for customers, whilst allowing for local flexibility as demanded. The Solution will enable CEVA to monitor the flow of goods, provide transport optimization, warehouse management and stock control for customers. The launch of this common framework will also allow other applications within the MATRIX suite to be integrated, providing an enhanced service and efficiencies of cost and scale for customers.

As part of the launch, RedPrairie and CEVA have worked in partnership to integrate all systems to ultimately support CEVA's WMS users globally.

"With our ongoing focus in providing global, end-to-end and uniform services for our customers, we are thrilled to be launching MATRIX WMS with the support of RedPrairie," explains Peter Dew, CIO at CEVA. "The new platform will provide us with greater flexibility and data delivery by using a global infrastructure with stronger round the clock support, availability and management which meets the growing needs of our key global and regional customers, who require full visibility and stability as a necessity in running lengthening supply chains."

"We are proud that CEVA has asked RedPrairie to provide its global standard warehouse management system," says RedPrairie CEO Mike Mayoras. "This is the result of a longstanding relationship with CEVA that has enabled them to serve many customers efficiently across all types of industry.

CEVA's end-to-end supply chain and logistics services are under-pinned by leading and bespoke technology to improve the visibility and control of products and information. These services include warehouse and transport management services which improve inventory flows and enhance transport efficiencies. These solutions are all managed through CEVA's in-house technological solution - MATRIX.
