CEVA Logistics renews Volkswagen Group UK contract

Volkswagen Group United Kingdom Ltd has renewed its warehousing and commercial contract with CEVA Logistics for a further five years.The warehouse operation is run from a purpose-built 64,000 sq metre Parts Warehouse in Dordon, the Midlands, which the two companies designed together for the start of the contract in April 2002. Around 400 staff are employed there.
In addition, more than 70 CEVA people are located in Volkswagen's Milton Keynes headquarters, working closely with Volkswagen Group Services. CEVA has also recently extended the contract to handle warranty returns and now employs 23 people under a separate Warranty contract.
Robin Woolcock, Managing Director, Volkswagen Group United Kingdom Limited, says the group had no hesitation renewing the contract. "We both know the importance of satisfying the highest service standards the UK VW Group Dealers rightfully demand. We are looking forward to continuing to work with the CEVA team and to their growing contribution, as they seek and deliver ways to enhance the service to our dealers, while at the same time introducing operational efficiencies assisting our desire to remove unnecessary cost from the business."
CEVA also operates the through the night transport service to deliver the spare parts to Volkswagen, Volkswagen CV, Seat, Audi, and Skoda dealers. The two companies have been working together for over 20 years.
