CEVA Logistics Netherlands B.V. AEO accredited

CEVA Logistics Netherlands B.V. announced it has achieved the status of Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) for The Netherlands region as per April 23, 2009. This is an important European certification, as the AEO directive constitutes a main element of the Customs Security Program of the European Union.
With the implementation of the status of AEO as of January 1, 2009, the European Union has agreed on improved measures of security in combination with simplified customs procedures. By demonstration of her process and procedures, CEVA as well as her customers now benefit from a series of enhanced customs checks and a reduction of compulsory registrations.
The successful award of the AEO certification is a key milestone in the ongoing development of our Business Unit. "This certification will certainly have a positive contribution to our growth and operational excellence as we are able to demonstrate to our customers to be a compliant and reliable logistics partner" says Roel Peters, Trade Compliance Manager of CEVA Logistics Netherlands B.V.. "However, receiving the certificate is only the first step in the process. The main focus in the months to come will be the implementation of the AEO-rules throughout our Business Unit".
