Health & Safety

CEVA Showfreight recognises and accepts its duties as an employer to ensure, in so far as reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare at work of all its employees.

CEVA Showfreight firmly believes that Health & Safety is an aspect of Management in equal importance to any other Management function and to this purpose expects directors, senior management and supervisory staff to consider Health & Safety as part of their normal duties and responsibilities.

As part of our overall Health & Safety arrangements, suitable and sufficient assessments of the risks to Health & Safety will be undertaken.  The purpose being to identify the appropriate and preventative and protective measures necessary, to comply with any statutory provision and to ensure the Health & Safety of our employees and others affected by our activities.

We also recognise the need for training through Investors in People to ensure that our employees are competent to carry out their work without risk to themselves or others.  Training is provided at induction and periodically during the course of employment, both in-house and from external specialists.

These are just a few measures we take to provide the means by which we strive to achieve best practice, meet our Health & Safety targets and improve our overall performance.
